The Schoolhouse Grand Opening had a great community turnout and was a huge success! Although we sometimes had to dodge a few raindrops, everyone enjoyed the event and ceremonies held on the Big Rock Historical Society’s campus on Sunday, August 30th. Activities and exhibits included ribbon cutting, tours of the schoolhouse, museum, and library, along with barrel rides and face painting for the kids, the vintage cars and fire truck display, the Kane County Sheriff’s K-9 dog & puppies, music, bake sales, book sales, a free food tent, and more. Thanks to all who attended and helped!
